Finding God in difficult seasons

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18

There are seasons in life that leave us asking questions we never thought we’d have to ask. Seasons where the prayers feel unanswered, the waiting feels endless, and the weight of life seems too heavy to carry.

Maybe you’re walking through grief. Maybe you’re exhausted from caring for your family. Maybe you’re facing uncertainty about the future, healing from something painful, or simply trying to hold everything together.

If that’s where you are today, I want you to know this:

God has not left you.

It’s easy to believe God is closest during life’s victories, but some of the deepest moments of intimacy with Him are found in our valleys. When our strength runs out, His strength carries us. When we can’t see the next step, He faithfully lights the path one step at a time.

Difficult seasons don’t mean God has forgotten you. They often become the very places where our faith grows deeper and our trust becomes stronger.

I have learned that God’s grace isn’t just something we receive after the storm has passed. His grace is what carries us through the storm itself.

Sometimes His grace looks like peace when circumstances haven’t changed.

Sometimes it looks like strength to keep going one more day.

Sometimes it looks like a friend who checks in, a verse that speaks directly to your heart, or the quiet reminder that you don’t have to carry your burdens alone.

Wherever you find yourself today, remember that God isn’t asking you to have all the answers. He’s simply inviting you to keep walking with Him, one faithful step at a time.

Your story isn’t over.

Your difficult season is not your final destination.

God is still working, even when you can’t yet see what He’s doing.

A Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for never leaving me, even when life feels overwhelming. Help me trust You when I can’t see the way forward. Give me strength for today, peace for this moment, and hope for tomorrow. Remind me that Your grace is enough and that I am never walking through this season alone.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Scripture to Hold Onto

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9

Reflection

Whatever season you’re walking through today, remember this truth:

You are deeply loved. You are never alone. And through every joy, every hardship, every unanswered question, and every new beginning… you are always held by His Grace. 🤍
