When You Don’t Have All the Answers

August 4, 2026

Have you ever found yourself asking God, “What’s next?”

Sometimes we want a detailed map for the future, but God often gives us just enough light for the next step. We naturally crave certainty, yet faith grows in the spaces where we choose to trust Him without seeing the whole picture.

There have been seasons in my life where I wanted every question answered before I moved forward. I wanted reassurance that things would work out exactly as I hoped. But God has been gently teaching me that His presence is a greater promise than a perfect plan.

When we don’t know what’s ahead, we can still know Who is walking with us.

Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds us:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Notice that the verse doesn’t promise we’ll understand everything. It promises that as we trust Him, He will direct our path.

Maybe today you’re waiting on an answer, praying for a breakthrough, making a difficult decision, or simply wondering what God is doing behind the scenes. Don’t mistake His silence for His absence. The God who has carried you this far has not stopped working.

Today, release the pressure to have everything figured out. Take the next faithful step, even if it’s a small one. Trust that God is already in the tomorrow you’re worried about today.

Thank you for spending a few moments here with me. My prayer is that you leave this journal with a lighter heart, renewed hope, and the confidence that you don’t have to know every answer because you know the One who does.

May you walk into today with peace, courage, and the quiet assurance that you are deeply loved, intentionally guided, and forever Held by His Grace.

With grace,
♡ Brittni
